El 1° de mayo se viste de nuevas significaciones cada año. El mundo del trabajo se transforma aceleradamente, al igual que las luchas reivindicativas de las y los trabajadores, Venezuela no es la excepción.
Por ello, en el contexto del 50 aniversario de la Fundación Friedrich Ebert en Venezuela, y aprovechando la cercanía con la connotada fecha obrera, se llevó a cabo el Foro titulado: "¿De dónde viene y a dónde va la lucha sindical en Venezuela?", el pasado jueves 4 de mayo en las instalaciones del Instituto de Previsión del Profesorado de la Universidad Central de Venezuela (IPP-UCV)
Para hacer un balance de cómo ha evolucionado la organización y la lucha sindical en Venezuela, contamos con un panel de lujo; ponentes de la talla de Luis Lauriño (UCAB), Jacqueline Richter (UCV) y Mauro Zambrano (Líder Sindical y de la organización Monitor Salud), sobre un problema muy contemporáneo para la sociedad venezolana. Conectando con la historia de las luchas obreras en Venezuela y su relación con la democracia, el profesor Luis Lauriño habló de la necesidad de un gran pacto social que no excluya, sino más bien motorice las fuerzas necesarias para el progreso del país. Igualmente, la profesora Richter hizo un certero balance de las organizaciones sindicales ayer y hoy, observación necesaria para el tan necesario estudio del qué somos y hacia dónde vamos. Finalmente, Mauro Zambrano, joven sindicalista del sector salud, habló desde los retos que actualmente enfrenta la actividad sindical en el país, asimismo expresó la necesidad de plantearse nuevas estrategias de organización para fortalecer al movimiento sindical y su conexión con la población. La moderación estuvo a cargo del historiador Tomás Straka, quién llevó el hilo cronológico a través de certeras preguntas que mostraron lo mejor de los ponentes.
Fiel a su tradición, enmarcada en la formación obrera, la Fundación Friedrich Ebert en Venezuela cree necesaria y fundamental la discusión permanente sobre la cuestión obrera y sindical, eje fundamental de las transformaciones sociales en favor de la democracia y la justicia social.
